When I was 21, I threw as much as I could into my car and moved to LA. Friends? Nope. Job? Nope. It didn’t matter. It was what I wanted to do. Sometime in the last 3 years, that fearlessness left me. Now, I over analyze every decision until I talk myself out of it.
Last [...]

So I interviewed yesterday- It went something like this:
J: Tell me about yourself.
Me: … I’ve been working on cruise ships for the last two years.
J: Really! That must be the best job! Why aren’t you doing that anymore?
Me: They restructured my department and my job doesn’t exist anymore. I could take a demotion or quit.
J: [...]

Well, I’m still working on that number two- the job that pays. With the job fair being the second week of December, I am trying to not apply anywhere that gets a major hit from the holiday retail rush. That task, however, is kind of hard. I also need somewhere with flexible hours, since I [...]

Tonight I watched America’s Got Talent for the first time. I don’t know what the typical standard is, but if a not good-looking, Ricky Martin impersonator lands themselves a spot in the Top 40, I don’t think this is my kind of show. I watched it because The Cadence were on tonight, and they go [...]

I read an article this morning about a nine year old boy, Jericho Scott, that isn’t allowed to play on his baseball team because he is too good.
Seriously?!?!
This is ridiculous. I don’t know what the average throwing speed for a nine year old is, but it doesn’t really matter. Let the kid play. No one kicked [...]

I love the Olympics. Period. From watching the marathons, table tennis, and rhythmic gymnastics to staying up until almost 4am to watch the Men’s Basketball Gold Medal game. Every. Single. Part.
Almost.
There have been a few blips for me in the Olympics. A couple mishaps that shouldn’t have happened.
Let’ start with Vault. Alicia Sacramone should have [...]

I went to my Tulsa Opera interview this morning- man did I have a mini-stress session for nothing. The marketing lady is totally nice, and seems pretty excited that I have experience and might already know what I’m doing. And she really wants me to be involved in everything, which is great. I’ll be there [...]

Well, I finally wrote to the marketing lady at the Tulsa Opera about being a volunteer. She emailed back and asked if I would send a resume, and asked if I was available to interview tomorrow morning. Interview?!?! I just wanna be a volunteer! So, now it’s all official job-like, and I’m kind of freaking [...]

I have a ton of little Olympic tidbits floating around in my head such as how Alicia Sacramone got robbed, but after staying up until 2am last night to watch the USA Softball game and watching the USA Baseball game this afternoon, the diamond games are at the top of the list. What sucks the [...]

I’ve been so busy watching the Olympics, I haven’t posted in a few days. But seriously, I’ve watched ping pong, badminton, basketball, equestrian, rowing and volleyball. And that’s just today and it’s only 2:30pm.
But watching hours of television has given me time to think. And I think I’m going to stay in Tulsa for a [...]
